1989 Porsche 911 Convertible
1989 was the last year of the iconic G-model and is instantly recognizable as a classic Porsche 911.
This 911 has only 79.000 miles (127.000 km) and it’s in fantastic original condition. The red paint also known as Guards Red is in great condition and is mostly original. The car is completely rust free with still the original coating in the wheel wells & on the undercarriage. The car was optioned with option code 473 (Front and rear spoiler) which gives it the Turbo spoilers. Below you can see all the option codes of the car:
018 Steering wheel with elevated hub
220 Locking differential 40 %
243 Shorter shift lever for G50 transmission
439 Electric soft top
454 Automatic speed control
473 Front and rear spoiler
490 Sound system
975 Luggage compartment velour carpet
The inside looks like new. The seats are professionally redone and the dashboard has no cracks. The electrically operated soft top works great without issues. The soft top & the cover are still in perfect conditions. There are no rips or blemishes on the fabric. Also available with the car is the original Owner's Manual and Warranty & Maintenance book.
Mechanically it’s also in excellent condition. Since 1987 the 915 Getrag gearbox was replaced by the G50 with better synchro’s from Borg Warner. This car has still it’s original G50 gearbox which shifts as it should. The original 3.2 flat six runs great and doesn’t leak any oil. The top end has been rebuild by the previous owner.
Overall this is a great and original 911 convertible with the more desirable G50 gearbox and low mileage. The car also comes with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity & is sold with Belgian registration.
