1988 GMC Suburban 2500
Finding a square body Suburban which is not abused and worn out is getting very difficult, be we managed to find a pristine example! This Suburban has the Sierra Classic package which made the Suburban more luxurious with more chrome, custom steering wheel, brushed steel finishes in the interior and much more.
In comparison with the 1500 Suburban, the 2500 suburban has stronger axles (8 bolt axles instead of 5 bolt), stronger suspension and an upgraded frame.
This 1988 GMC Suburban is finished in two-tone Aspen Blue over Midnight Blue; It has been partially repainted to correct clearcoat failure and still looks great. The Factory 16″ steel wheels wear matching GMC-branded hubcaps and are fitted with Dakota H/T tires. Chrome work still looks great. The underside still has the original coating and looks great. There is zero rust on this car.
The interior is like new. The front captain seats and arm rests are redone with original blue vinyl. All gauges in the dashboard work. The rear bench seat is also in perfect condition with no wear or damages. The AC front and rear still works as it should. The power door locks function without issues. The headliner has been redone to tackle the sagging. Everything on the inside looks like when it came from the factory.
Mechanically the car is also great with just 96.000 miles (154.000km). The original 454ci (7,4L) big block runs great. The original TBI injection system has been replaced with a more modern EFI system from FiTech. Also the timing chain, water pump, alternator, shocks and brake pads are installed. The power steering and power brakes operate without any problems. This car is also optioned with the Trailering Package including a limited slip (PosiTrac) differential, heavy duty radiator and heavy duty transmission oil cooler.
The original owner’s manual & service manuals available with the car.
Overall this Suburban is one of the finest out there with a healthy 454, great paint and interior and the luxury Sierra Classic package.
