1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC

1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC

In 1981 the coupe version of the S-class was introduced and received an extensive update in 1985. Along with the revision a new engine 5.5 V8 was introduced by stroking the existing 5-litre M117 engine with a new crankshaft.

This example was sold new in Germany where it stayed until 2018 when it was imported to Belgium. Sill carrying its original and desirable paint called Nautical Blue, this car has been maintained meticulously. The paint is in excellent condition with no damages or repairs done to it. The original Gullideckel wheels have no damages or wear. Of course the car has zero rust, even around the rear window there is no rust (which is a weak point with these cars).

The interior is nothing less than showroom condition. The original leather is in fantastic shape with zero sign of wear. Same for the rest of the interior. All gauges work and the original radio has been fitted with an aftermarket Bluetooth module. The car is also fitted with the rare electric adjustable and heated orthopedic seats.

Mechanically this car is in excellent condition. The car has the very sought after option code 822, giving the engine a power increase to 300 hp. This power increase was due to deletion of the catalyst converters, different camshafts, headers, upgraded ignition module and improved engine management. Back in 2018 the engine was refurbished and the timing chain guides were replaced.  All mechanical components of this car are in extremely good condition. The car has very low mileage of just 97k km.

Overall this is one of the best – if not the best -560SEC for sale with the extremely sought after 822 option code, ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
