1973 Mercedes-Benz 450SL
1973 was the first year of the 450SL name tag & in the U.S. it was the final year of the euro-spec bumpers. From 1974 the bumpers in the U.S. on the SL where the bigger rubber ones. This makes this 1973 very unique & a one year only.
On top of that this car left the factory in Maple Yellow (color code 606G: Ahorngelb), which was rarely taken & only available from 1972 up to 1979.
The car spend its entire life in Palm Desert where it is always sunny. The car has undergone a cosmetic restoration to tackle the faded paint of the sun: the car was repainted in its original color, a new soft top was installed, new interior with seats which are redone in original leather.
After the restoration the car was always maintained properly, stored in a garage & rarely driven. This can be seen on the odometer: only 75300 miles (121.000km) were driven with this 450SL.
Of course everything works, all the gauges up to the ice cold blowing AC.
