1969 Plymouth Roadrunner
The Plymouth Roadrunner is one of the most iconic Muscle cars from the era. Marketed as a high-power, low budget alternative for the more luxurious GTX. It was an instant success, outsold the GTX & became MotorTrend Car of The Year in 1969. Based on the Plymouth Satellite, it was made lighter by cutting down the amount of chrome and even making carpet an optional feature!
This particular model came out of the factory as a Belvedere with a 383 and 3 speed automatic.
It was restored to a Roadrunner clone in 2004 with all the correct replacement parts.
The engine is replaced by a 440 Big Block with Edelbrock Performance intake, Thorley header and a Carter Thermoquad carb.
The automatic has been rebuilt and shifts like it should. Mechanically the car is in superb condition and maintained perfectly. Recent work contains oil change and new oil filter, new coil, spark plugs and cables, new starter and a tune up.
Exterior of the car is in great condition too. The last months all the weak points with rust were addressed and repaired. New rear quarter panels were installed and paint blemishes were addressed. The black hood really give the car an unique look.
Interior is brand new as well, new Ivory seat covers were installed as well as a new steering wheel.
All gauges work as they should.
Overall this is a fantastic Roadrunner clone with all the right parts & more importantly, completely rust free and mechanically in superb condition!
