1955 Ford F350

1955 Ford F350

The popularity of the Ford F-series pickup is no fluke. Born more than a century ago, it earned its place in the American landscape by delivering rugged value and consistent innovation. In 1953 Ford was into its second generation of the F series making some changes and changed the name of the F-4 to F-350. The F350 was the 1 ton version with upgraded cooling and beefier suspension, axles and frame.

This truck has been modified a couple of years ago in Belgium. The truck is lowered and wider rear tires are fitted on white wheels. Normally these F350 didn’t come with a factory bed, so the previous owner custom made one that looks original. Prior to the sale we did some cosmetic refurbishments such as repainting the hood and grille.

The interior is very original with a bench seat and gear shifter on the column. We installed a new steering wheel to finish off the interior. All gauges & knobs work as they should without any issues.

Mechanically the car has been significantly modified. The front suspension has been replaced for one of a Daimler Double Six, the rear axle is a Mustang 8 inch and the engine is a 351ci Windsor engine coupled with a C4 transmission. Don’t be afraid regarding these modifications, the car passed Belgian inspection and has Belgian registration. If needed, the truck can be lifted again to its original height. It also has a fully working LPG installation hidden in the toolbox in the bed.

Overall this is a very cool looking and rare F350, ready to be enjoyed by the next car enthusiast!
